ABSTRACT

Noval Schiff base ligand (BYDU-L) has been recovered by condensation reaction between 1, 1’-[benzene-1,4-diyldi(1Z)eth-1-yl-1-ylidene] and 2,3-diacetylhexane-2,5-dione. Moreover, new Ni (II) and Mn (II) complexes of the ligand were also synthesized by using reflux method. All the compounds were converted in powered form and characterized in detail by spectral and analytical techniques such as Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance, X-ray diffraction, and mass spectral analysis. The compounds were also found to depict excellent antimicrobial activity against different strains of microbes. The result of anti-angiogenic activity was also detected by counting number of blood cells through CAM method. The photocatalytic potential of the synthesized compounds was proved by using Congo red dye degradation at different time
intervals.
