About the Journal — Overview

Indian Journal of Advances in Chemical Science (IJACS) is a quarterly, international, open access journal dedicated to various disciplines of chemical sciences. IJACS publishes manuscripts (original research, review articles, mini-reviews, short communications) reporting original work, either experimental or theoretical.

All contributions are rigorously refereed and selected on the basis of quality, originality and contemporary relevance.

Open Access Policy

To ensure maximum exposure of IJACS contents, KROS Publications adopted an open access policy: all the articles published in IJACS are made freely accessible online immediately after publication in an easily readable format without subscription or registration barriers.

Published articles are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0). This allows sharing and adaptation provided proper attribution is given and the work is not used for commercial purposes.

Authors are allowed to self-archive the final accepted version of their articles on any OAI-compliant institutional/subject-based repository.

Peer-review Policy

  • All manuscripts submitted to IJACS are subjected to a double-blind peer review process.
  • Manuscripts are typically reviewed by three suitable experts in the respective subject area.
  • Reports from reviewers are considered while deciding acceptance, revision or rejection; Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision.
  • The Editor-in-Chief may consult advisory board members before making final decisions.
  • If authors contest a negative decision with valid arguments, an additional reviewer may be invited and final decision will be based on recommendations.

Copyright Policies & Self-Archiving

Articles published in IJACS are distributed under a Creative Commons license. Authors retain copyright of their work (all usages allowed except commercial purpose, unless permission sought).

IJACS is a RoMEO Green journal. Authors may self-archive pre-print, post-print and publisher's PDF in any OAI-compliant repository.

Plagiarism Policy

Authors should ensure the originality of their contents, while preparing a manuscript draft. In case the authors have used the work and/or words of others this must be appropriately cited or quoted

All the articles submitted to IJACS shall be screened for plagiarism using iThenticate (online plagiarism detection software). In case, plagiarism is detected during review/editorial process, such manuscript(s) will be rejected immediately.

If the plagiarism is proven after publication, such manuscript(s) will be retracted from the journal and appropriate announcement will be placed in this regards. We can also consider appropriate action against authors depending upon the seriousness of the case. It includes;

  • Debarring the authors from publication in future.
  • We can bring such instants in notice of author's funding agencies, author's institutes (where they works) and to the original authors whose work has been plagiarized.

Waiver Policy

IJACS may grant the partial/full waiver in article processing charges to the authors those are unable to pay the article processing charges due to financial crisis. Only the authors from low income countries can apply for waiver. Waiver is applicable for one article per year for each submitting author.
