Abstract

1,3-Diphenyl pyrazole terminated ligand N1,N2-Bis((1,3-diphenyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)methylene)ethane-1,2-diamine and its
cobalt and copper complexes were synthesized. The compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, Ultraviolet–visible,
Fourier transform infrared 1HNMR, and 13NMR spectroscopic techniques. The spectroscopic data support the structure of the
compounds. The in vitro antimicrobial activities against some bacterial and some fungal strains of the synthesized compounds
were analyzed and compared with the standard drugs. The result showed that the metal complexes are good candidates as
antimicrobial agents than the ligand at the same concentration. The molecular docking studies were carried out using the online
software Arguslab 4.0.1 and revealed that both the ligand and its complexes exhibiting a possible interaction with the proteins
fibroblast growth factor receptors, c-Met, and vascular endothelial growth factor.
