Abstract

Schiff bases are aldehydes or ketones like compounds in which carbonyl group is replaced by an azomethine or imine group. They
exhibit a broad range of biological activities and are also used for industrial purposes. This short review compiles methodologies
for the synthesis of Schiff bases and presents an overview of the use of Schiff base as a pharmacophore.
