Abstract

The work was dedicated to the investigation of phase composition of the sorbents obtained from different clays
samples in Urgut district. It was shown that phase composition of the sorbents consists of kaolinite, quartz,
corundum, and others. Existence of above mentioned substances in the samples testifies displaying their sorption
capacity. Sorption isotherms of some two valent ions by the sorbents have been studied, the coefficients (Gmax, K)
of Langmuir equation determined and the possibilities for using them as ion-exchanger estimated.
