Abstract

ZnS QDs with bright blue photoluminescence have been synthesized via an aqueous one-step process at room
temperature with MPA as the capping molecule. The TEM and XRD results indicated that the MPA-capped ZnS
QDs were 4-5 nm in size with a cubic zinc blend structure. Various processing parameters were adjusted and
studied to optimize the properties of the obtained ZnS QDs.
