Abstract
Manganese oxide/poly indole (Mn2O3/PIND) hybrid structures have been investigated for their optical
properties. Mn2O3 nanoparticles prepared by the sol-gel method and characterized by XRD, scanning electron
microscope (SEM) and, infrared (IR). The hybrid Mn2O3/PIND structure was obtained by the addition of PIND
on the surface of Mn2O3. The optical properties of the nanocomposite were determined from UV and PL studies.
The energy band gap of the materials was obtained from the absorption wavelengths of the UV-visible
spectrum.
