Abstract

This work presented results on the removal of Rh 6G dye from aqueous solutions using the alt-maleimide-styrene copolymer
(MSC) as an adsorbent. The effects of pH, sorbent dosage, contact time, temperature, and initial dye concentration on the
sorption degree and sorption capacity of the sorbent were investigated. The obtained experimental data have been analyzed
using Langmuir and D–R models. Several kinetic and thermodynamic parameters of the adsorption process were determined
and a possible sorption mechanism has been suggested.
