Abstract
Coccinia grandis (L) is an important medicinal plant having its great medicinal value in trebles, the compound 5,7-dihydroxy-2-
(4-hydroxyphenol)-3-{(3S,4S,5S,6R)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6methyltetrahydro-2H-pyran-2yl]oxy}-5,6,7,8-tetrahydrd-4Hchlomen-
4-one was isolated and it is characterized by ultraviolet, infrared, nuclear magnetic resonance, and mass spectroscopy. Thin-
layer chromatography profiling was confirmed a single compound present in the fraction from column chromatography and
that’s why the characterized bioactive compound enhances to drug delivery.
