Abstract

A mild and efficient method was developed for the synthesis of benzopyrans through the one-pot three-component condensation
of aldehyde, malononitriles, and dimedone in the presence of polyethylene glycol-400 as an efficient and recyclable reaction
medium. This process is characterized by mild reaction condition, easy workup, and environmental friendliness.
